Directs trash, restroom, and fire stairwell crews on the DLA complex area in a clean, orderly condition while adhering to all federal and contract safety regulations and guidelines.
 
1.      Responds to the following:
A.     All liquid spills in a timely manner to prevent accidents that may be caused by this incident.
B.     Adhering to all request from customers within the DLA Complex such as emptying trash containers for tenants
leaving the complex.
2.      Cleans recycle rooms and service elevators daily, including sweeping and scrubbing the area.
3.      Removes carpet spots using carpet machine and rug spot removers in concert with DLA safety standards.
4.      Removes trash and waste materials in cubical area and suite areas as needed or when other Didlake employees are absent.
5.      Servicing restrooms when person responsible is unavailable or as needed.
6.      Receive count and store supplies ordered by supervisor(s) for daily use at the DLA complex.
7.      Cleaning closets and storage areas that he services and/or uses daily.
8.      Informs supervisors of problems, concerns, and safety issues regarding co-workers.
 
Education and Requirements:
Any combination of education and experience, equivalent to graduation from the 12th grade. Minimum of one year relevant experience in commercial custodial or maintenance services; familiarity with cleaning products and equipment; experience with persons with disabilities preferred.
 
Skills and Abilities:
Must have verbal and written communication so to read simple instructions, recognize the difference between words and numbers, print and speak simple sentences; ability to remind and train staff of standard operating procedures and safe operation of equipment; ability to interact effectively and supportively with co-workers with disabilities; requires some knowledge of cleaning products and equipment; must also possess a positive team member attitude.
 
Physical:
Lifting 20-50 pounds frequently, or 10-20 pounds constantly, or 50-100 pounds occasionally. Other demands include: standing, walking, stooping, sitting, pulling, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing stairs and ladders; talking, listening, and directing personnel.
 
Environment:
Narrow, moving and slippery surfaces; noise intensity level – moderate; proximity to moving mechanical parts; and exposure to dust, odors, fumes, mists, and toxic or caustic chemicals. EOE m/f/v/d
